Students Lead Efforts To Advance STEM In Puerto Rico

Today is National STEM Day and the students from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM) are taking the lead in ensuring students in Puerto Rico are excited and involved in STEM and in NASA’s human space exploration efforts.

Providing STEM Engagement opportunities is a priority to NASA and the goal for their STEM Engagement Program is to deliver tools for students and educators to learn and succeed. To achieve this goal, NASA is actively working to increase K-12 involvement in @NASA projects, enhance higher education, support underrepresented communities, strengthen online education, and boost NASA’s contribution to informal education.
